To prepare for your visit be sure to stay hydrated and avoid caffeine and medications immediately prior to your session. You will be welcomed into the clinic and we will go over your health history and goals for your Bioscan session. Together we will create a custom protocol. 2.Next while you are comfortably seated some small electrodes will be placed on your fingers and your scan will begin. This process is completely painless and generally takes around 20 minutes to complete. 3. Hello, I’m Jenn. I have had the pleasure of practicing massage therapy for the last 18 years working in a variety of settings in both Ontario and British Columbia. My passion for health, wellness and helping others has also driven me to expand my knowledge and training to include other healing modalities outside of providing therapeutic RMT treatments. MY STORY When I was in my final years of Highschool I began getting sick all the time. My tonsils and throat would get so inflamed and swollen I could barely swallow. My doctor would give me a round of antibiotics and send me on my way. The antibiotics would help for a few weeks but in no time I’d end up right back where I started… Missing school, missing work, missing out on my social life and feeling AWFUL! After a couple years and when stronger and stronger antibiotics didn’t do the trick and were causing me a range of other unpleasant side effects, I was told surgery was necessary and would solve all my problems. And so a week before I went off to college I had my tonsils and adenoids surgically removed. It was not fun! If I thought having an inflamed throat all the time was painful having your entire throat cauterized is much worse! OUCH! And worst of all… it didn’t help! I continued to get painful and inflamed throat infections ALL THE TIME. Finally as I got older and wiser I said “There has to be a reason this is happening?!?” and I requested an allergy test from my doctor. Turns out I had an EXTREME allergy to dust mites. Dust mites are everywhere and unavoidable and for most people undetectable. For me I felt like dust mites were trying to kill me and ruining my life! The allergist said it was too bad I didn’t get tested before I had my tonsillectomy (ARGH!!!) and recommended I get an allergy shot twice a week. I did that for a year. Going to my doctor and getting the needle twice a week with no change. The allergist said it could take up to 5 years of shots to notice an improvement. If the shots weren’t successful a lifetime of daily allergy meds might be necessary. Again I thought to myself “There has to be a reason my body is reacting this way?!? And there must be a better way to treat the source and heal my body…?” And so I began to look for answers and discovered holistic medicine. This set me on the path of personal health empowerment after so many years of feeling sick, disappointed, and defeated. I worked with a Naturopath who also recommended a homeopath who also recommended a “laser allergy treatment”. I booked an appointment, had 3 treatments and… PROBLEM SOLVED! Finally success!!! I have not had antibiotics for my throat since and that was over 20 years ago! I was so thrilled and grateful with my results that I have been recommending this therapy to everyone I cross paths with ever since. Hearing the incredible success stories over the years from so many people with so many different issues has been truly inspirational! And so after falling in love with holistic health, becoming an RMT, starting my family, building an eco home, and having adventures on the West coast, I finally found myself in the right place at the right time to pursue my passion for this amazing modality.
